How Much Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost in St. George?

The Short Answer

A full kitchen remodel in Southern Utah generally runs $35,000 to $110,000. A typical modern kitchen, not too big and not too small, usually lands around $30,000 to $35,000. A lighter refresh costs less, and a large kitchen with high-end cabinets, stone, and appliances pushes toward the top of that range.

What Drives the Price

Two kitchens the same size can be tens of thousands of dollars apart. Here's where the money goes, roughly in order:

• Cabinets. Almost always the single biggest line item. Custom and semi-custom cabinets cost far more than stock, and they're also what fails first when you go cheap, which is why we won't install bargain cabinets.
• Countertops. Quartz and granite are the most common choices here. Quartz often runs a bit higher than granite.
• Size and layout. More cabinets and counter runs, and any moving of walls, plumbing, or electrical, add up fast.
• Appliances and venting. High-end ranges, built-ins, and the big vent hoods people want now add real cost.
• Flooring and finishes. Tile, backsplash, lighting, and trim round it out.

Refresh vs. Full Remodel

If your layout works and your cabinets are sound, a refresh (new countertops, refinished or refaced cabinets, paint, fixtures, lighting) is a fraction of a full remodel and takes about two to three weeks.

A full remodel with new cabinets runs about eight to ten weeks from order to install. Most of that is waiting: it's roughly six weeks just to get cabinets built and delivered, and the countertop shop won't template until the cabinets are installed, which adds about two more weeks after that.

Why Cabinet Quality Matters

The fastest way to make a kitchen look dated and start falling apart is to save money on the cabinets. We'd rather steer you toward solid cabinets at a fair price than install the cheapest option and watch it sag in a few years. If budget is tight, we'll find the smartest place to spend it.
